Last night's Alpha Centauri Kid event at Station3 in NYC was a room full of strong energy and people who traveled into NYC from all over.
The main event, a conversation between ACK and Redbeard, was an engaging and personal one, with the artist's family seated front row. Stories included the multi-year piano creation journey, its detailing, an almost disaster in a lightning storm, and musings on legacy and mortality. A lighthearted moment came as Redbeard asked whether it would be the artist's wish for his daughters to create a piano with his own skull after passing.
It was an event that reminds you of how special the atmosphere surrounding networked art can be, especially revolving around a driven creator.
Onward to Carnegie Hall later today for the Grand Skull performance.
